Marine eDNA biodiversity study with NatureMetrics

It’s been super interesting working with NatureMetrics to investigate applications for environmental DNA monitoring in offshore wind. Their findings from a pilot campaign in Australia are now available on their website.

Up to now eDNA monitoring has mainly been used for onshore and wetland environments. It's early days for offshore, but the potential for this technology to support our understanding of marine environments and design more efficient survey programmes is promising.

In this era of cost and resource challenges, it's great to see technology helping us to work smarter!
