KIMAenergy at AUWE 2024 – Unlocking wind capital

At the Australian Wind Energy 2024 conference in Melbourne, our co-founder Maya Malik was part of the panel discussing ‘Considerations for entering Australia’s wind industry – An international perspective’.

In the panel’s 10-year industry forecast, there was general agreement Australia would implement a lot of small scall solar and wind in the short term, with larger scale projects coming later and in more remote locations. It was interesting to see the panel split on the role of government in Australia’s energy transition, with some favouring a state-led approach to defining the energy mix and proactive grid upgrades, while others preferring market-led solutions.
