KIMAenergy was appointed by a consortium to originate and develop a 5GW project off the coast of Gippsland, Australia.
Our scope was to supply the senior management team and included all aspects of partnership, commercial and early-stage project management. Over a period of 12 months we:
Sourced strategic partners including top-tier supply chain and offtake partners
Led a global, multi-discipline team of 50+ experts and 15 advisors
Led site selection and concept development. Managed wind & layout, grid, transmission, harbour & installation, environment, land and supply chain studies
Led energy market studies, corporate PPA sounding and a route-to-market strategy
Managed the preparation of devex, capex and opex estimates. Developed a business case, conducted lender sounding and created project financing plans
Managed branding & communications, government & public relations and stakeholder engagement at federal, state and local levels. Identified 100+ stakeholder groups and engaged with over 25
Managed the preparation of detailed approval plans for site surveys and main project works. Led ‘EPBC Act’ environmental approvals and 'OEI Act' Feasibility License applications
Scoped site investigation requirements. Led procurement for offshore wind measurement, environmental, geophysical and geotechnical surveys
